Advocacy

We aim to advocate, protect and advance the legal, human and service rights of our community of people living with neuromuscular conditions in WA.

Our Community Services Team are here to work with you to achieve outcomes or refer you to an organisation that is able to help you further.

Advocacy can be provided on an individual, group or systemic basis with the overall aim of achieving equal access and rights and can be used to provide support to help you to self-advocate or us to advocate on your behalf, dependent upon your needs and issue.

We aim to support members to develop their confidence, assertiveness and self-advocacy skills.

Advocacy can also involve us feeding back concerns and issues identified by members to government and other policy-making bodies to help shape future services for people living with neuromuscular conditions.

If you have a question please do not hesitate to contact us, we’re here for you.
